Fire works nicely to keep liquid hot.
Antarctica is cold.
Antarctica, Europe, and Antarctica do not have hot deserts. Europe has a more temperate climate, and Antarctica is too cold to support a hot desert environment.
In Antarctica, water exists as a solid in the form of ice, a liquid in the form of meltwater from glaciers and snow, and a gas in the form of water vapor in the atmosphere. The extreme cold temperatures in Antarctica keep water predominantly in its solid state, but during the summer months, some ice melts to form liquid water.
Thermos bottles are generally used to keep liquid from changing temperature for a longer period of time. Usually, one pours hot liquid into the bottle, and it will remain warm for longer, but they are also effective at keeping cold liquid cool.
Keep ice on it and go see a doctor
I think your premise is wrong. A desert is a place with little or no rain or liquid moisture. Most of Antarctica is desert by this standard.
hot liquid
Neither Antarctica nor South America have hot deserts.
