If cooked in water, yes. There are, however, ways to cook it that are "slime free."
Yes it is, anything slimy is good
My grandmother Mimi would to say that right before she tore into my behind after she would give me more than my allotted shares of warnings. I believe that the meaning describes how okra is slimy and when it was handled roughly the slime would appear. So after she got a hold of my behind, my buttocks would emit a slimy type of secretion similar to okras. Henceforth the saying " Beat you till you rope like okra"...
Being too 'in love'. Slimy ect
ANSWER:Either as fried okra or in a recipe called okra and tomatos.Take two 12 ounce cans or 3 cups skinned, crushed tomatos and about 2 cups of okra cut in slices about 3/8 inch long. Add this to a soup pot, add a little water if necessary and cook until the okra is no longer crunchy. Add salt and pepper to taste. The last time I cooked this, my wife had never tried it because the only okra she had eaten was cooked whole in a soup and was slimy. I got 1 bowl, she ate the rest.
okra

Surfactant.
Okra
Snails are slimy because they must keep their bodies moist to survive. They secrete a mucous-like substance that holds the moisture in their bodies and also provides a wet surface for them to move on.
slimy
This is because frogs secrete a mucus which help keep their skin moist
Seeds are on the inside of okra.
