In general, you can't. :( However, you can experiment with different fabrics & styles to find pants that hold their shape better than others. Personally, I love the Victoria's Secret pants in "seasonless stretch", which ironically do a great job of maintaining shape & fit throughout the day. (Added bonus: they're wrinkle-free!)
Take the part of your legs, and put both hands in them and pull them apart, DONT stretch too far and make them tear, but just enough to give you a little room.

Yoga and workout pants are available in all levels of quality and price points, at places like Big 5 sporting goods, REI, Sport Chalet, even KMart or Target. The elastic waist type of stretch pants would be available at a store like Walmart.

I have seen White Stag Stretch Knit Pants at Walmart If you can't find white stag pants anymore. stretch pants are just as good as the White Stag brand. I just purchased 2 pants and 2 Capri's, because I could not find the sizes at Walmart anymore.
