If you have a paid membership and cancel your membership, the account will continue for the full period of the paid membership. Otherwise, most web sites will keep an inactive account for anywhere from 3 months to a year, just in case the former owner decides to return. Moshi Monsters doesn't give a specific time period, just that they will store membership benefits until the membership is renewed.
