It depends what you mean by clean. If you mean clean from microbial organisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc., boiling your water for a while and then allowing it to cool before using it can be beneficial and kill many of these organisms. If you mean clean from environmental contaminants such as metallic ions or other pollutants, investing in a water filter can be a good way to go. Reverse osmosis is another option, but is rather expensive so do your research before making a final decision.
