It is possible to kill the Banshee before it summons more ankle biters, but if she manages to summon more, just kill them before attacking the Banshee.
Some people might say it's best to use spells against the Banshee, however it depends how you've raised your character, if he's trained more in strength, then use the sword, skill, use a gun or will, use magic. If your trained in all 3, then use whatever you feel like!

You probably need to reload. Go back to Wraithmarsh. Follow the trail to Bloodstone. Dont rapid transport. Make sure to kill all of the banshees in Wraithmarsh. Then, once you get to Bloodstone, kill the minons of the banshee. You should be able to kill it then. I have had to do this 2x on 2 separate heros.
