"Step on them." Bumble bees are basically harmless. They are incredibly docile and very rarely respond aggressively to disturbance. I can't imagine any real need to destroy such an animal, especially one whose populations are currently in decline and who's abundance we do and will in the future rely on to pollinate most of the food we eat. If you really need a hive removed you should talk to some one like myself about it because such colonies are useful for research.
