You must have a hard drive on your Xbox 360 so that you can download the backwards compatibility updates either through connecting to Xbox live, or by burning the updates on a CD and putting them in the CD drive to be burned to your hard drive.

If the Original Xbox Game is Backwards Compatible, it works. I'm not sure how to check that other than to put in the Xbox 360 and see if it works. Hope this helped.
I can't say for certain, but I don't think it will, as it does not appear with the games listed as backwards compatible for xbox 360. See the related link.
The London 2012 Olympics game is not backwards compatible with older consoles. It was specifically designed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U, and cannot be played on previous generation systems.
