A guinea pig can have a litter up to 5 babies. The babies usually arrive at spring and guinea pigs can get babies every year.

You can't really know how many babies your guinea pig is expecting. But if you visit a vet I'm sure they can help you and give good advice on how to take care of a litter.

Make sure you give your piggy lots of veggies and hay!!

Is it ok to breed your guinea pig at 12 months old?

Probably. But do not breed the guinea pig unless you already have stable new homes for the babies, or know that you will be taking care of the babies, and don't give them to a shelter. There are so many abandoned guinea pigs; the world doesn't need more. If you know people looking for a guinea pig, instead of breeding, suggest they look at an adoption center or shelter.
