8 gallons are in a 33 1/2 lb tank. Now is that the space in a 33 pound can or is that the amount of fuel in a 33 pound can? These cans can only be filled by law to 80% to allow for expansion If that is the case, 80% of 8 gallons is 6.4 Gallons. Now how many gallons are in a 33 pound can of propane?
