All British general circulation predecimal Pennies, Halfpennies and Farthings were made from bronze from 1860 to 1967.
There are a few problems with this question. The British Halfpenny has never been made from gold and especially not in 1945 when Britain had her back up against a wall funding a war. The 1945 British Halfpenny was made from bronze, was 25.5mm in diameter, substantially larger than a Half-Sovereign at 19.3mm, and weighed 2.84 grams. Can you advise any further information such as the design on the reverse or any inscriptions that might be on the coin.

We will never know, bronze was discovered like 3-4 thousand years ago and as far as i know nothing is recorded from then on that topic.
you will know because it will tell you when you have a bronze award after the game or test you just completed. Also, You get a bronze certificate when you have one thousand points. You can see all your awards in the ' my awards' section. Good luck doing maths!
