Look on the back and see if it has antenna input and output connectors. If it does, then it has a tuner. If it doesn't, they you're out of luck.

Yes. The DVD player does,'t usually go through the tuner. The "new digital TV" just means that it has a digital tuner. This won't affect things like DVD players that don't use the antenna input.

VCR / DVD are now used to transfer the data to DVD . You could however attach cables fron an exernal digital tuner/ or cable box/ satellite into the VCR/DVD with the input line to record.
