There are several general signs, depending on your dog. She can go off her food early in pregnancy for a few weeks, be tired, show mammary gland growth (nipples), and possibly be more affectionate. To be sure, I would recommend taking her to the vet about four weeks after mating or mid-cycle (pregnancy in dogs is approximately 9 weeks).

You don't, if it JUST got pregnant. It will start showing in about 4 weeks or so.
When a dog is pregnant you will notice her stomach getting bigger and you may be able to feel the pups inside the dog by putting your hand on the abdomen.
They get fatter and the nipples become more pronounced. After a while the puppies can be felt moving around inside the belly
They get fat like fat albert and they don't want to play and they eat alot.
The only way to be sure is to take her to the vet.
Her stomach is a lot bigger than normal and it fees llumpy and she waddles
When your dog is pregnant its stomach will get very big and its ta tas will become droopy ( i hate saying that lol). If it starts acting miserable dont worry it is just because she is feeling very heavy.
You would know when their teats turn pink and they get fatter but don'tbe mistaken, cometimes the dogs just fat.
Either your dog is mopy a lot of does or you notice you dog is gaining more and more wieght
Let's start with the canine heat cycle. The canine heat or estrous cycle varies in length. Many people know that their dog goes into "heat" but don't realize that unlike the human menstrual cycle, which is a non-fertile stage, dogs that are in heat are preparing to ovulate. There are four stages of the estrous cycle. The first stage is proestrus, which is characterized by increased follicular activity of the ovary, a stage that is necessary prior to the release of the eggs. Outward signs include vulvar swelling and bleeding. During this time, your dog will be attractive to males but not receptive to them. In general, this stage lasts six to 11 days with an average of nine days. The end of this cycle is noted when your pet becomes receptive to the male and will stand to be bred. The second phase is the actual fertile phase or estrus. During this time, the discharge becomes more straw-colored to light pink and the vulva, although still swollen, is softer. The female is now receptive to males and will stand for breeding. This stage generally lasts five to nine days. Unfortunately, it can last as long as 20 days and still be normal. Each dog is different and must be monitored closely. The end of this stage is characterized by the female no longer accepting the male. The last two stages of the estrous cycle are diestrus, a non-receptive time when the corpora lutea, which produce progesterone, are active on the ovary and anestrus. During anestrus there is no ovarian activity. Diestrus and anestrus are lengthy periods: diestrus lasts 56 to 60 days and anestrus is variable, but several months long. Most dogs cycle twice a year. The next step in the course of the pregnancy is the actual conception…well, I hope you know how that works, so I'll skip that part. It takes about 62 days from the day that your dog is bred for the puppies to be born.
well i noticed when my dog was pregnant that milk started coming out of her nipples
Less active/ more sleeping

They eat more ( Sometimes they eat less in the beginig of pregnancy )

Bigger stomach

Bigger nimples

Milk leaking from the nimples

Harder stomachs, not like the usaul gooy kind

The very first sign of pregnancy is the little nipples of the bitch will stay enlarged after breeding, keeping a pinkish color. The newly pregnant female will sleep a lot and may have a loss in appetite. The dog does not start to "show" until at least five weeks, then she will look a little fatter in the mid-section. At six weeks she will be more obviously pregnant, and by the ninth week she will be ready to give birth.

Inadequate environmental conditions: Starvation, crowding and sanitation. To starve an animal of affection and companionship in a backyard somewhere and forget about it other then feeding it. just to protect your property.
All dogs bark, so if it barks, it is most likely a dog.
Larger stomach

Their stomach puffs out, they eat more and they are not very active.

They may start 'nesting' and have other emotional responses like becoming attached to particular toys.

The most common symptoms are:

  • loss of energy
  • loss of appetite in
  • larger nipples
  • larger stomach

When her stomach is much rounder and bigger than usual. If you can't tell here is another way. Put your pointing finger and middle finger together and then put them on the center of the dog's belly. Keep your finger there 2-3 minutes and if you felt a bump, kick, or any other kind of movement in her stomach call a veterinarian and tell them. They will check also for you.

The best way to know is to take your dog to the vet. It is hard to tell whether dogs are pregnant or not without tests from your vet. But some signs that your dog could be pregnant are lower energy levels and playfulness, bigger appetite, and the dog's nipples enlarge over time. But this also happens when the dog is in heat and so that is why it is hard to tell whether your dog is pregnant unless you caught her in the act.
Doggie mom will start to pant real heavy and try to start nesting(making a bed) make sure you have a clean quiet not very bright place for her to have them.
