How can you tell when a girl likes you when shes being mean to you?

It sounds like she just wants attention. When around people such as friends she is mean because she doesn't really care. But when alone she doesn't have anyone else paying attention to her so she is different so that you will focus your attention on her. I don't think she's worth your time. Who cares if she's sweet as pie in private--her overall behavior towards you is crappy. How would she feel if a guy acted rude to her in public and behaved as though she wasn't good enough for him in front of his buddies? I doubt anyone would like that treatment. Don't hang around her and if she initiates conversation with you, be friendly but distant. As a girl I can say one thing. I like a guy who acts like a jerk around me so I act like that back. I think girls get nervous and dont really know what to say so our emotions sometimes come out offensive. I think that we also do it for attention cause i have to say when I play around and argue with the guy I like then I get a lot more flirting and and stuff, BUT if she is acting mean with u and u aren't then, she is probably either insecure or just a snob. Try and talk to her with her friends and if she still acts like that then I say find a girl who u can spend time with and feel good afterwards instead of feeling down about urself!!!
