the best way to tell if your leopard gecko is healthy by the look of their tail. if it is fat then that means your Leo is doing good, but if it is skinny then he is not healthy and not happy. however, baby leos are supposed to have skinny tails when they are born so don't get confused if it looks unhealthy.
Their tails will get thin. If this does start to happen, take it to the vet ASAP. If it get too thin of even the slightest bit thin, it is usually almost impossible even for the most experienced owners to make it healthy again. I learned that the hard way... four times.
If your leopard gecko has cut down in diet and loosing weight, if the tail has start to become wavy, if limbs are not able to hold the animals weight, these are sign of illness. Internal parasites, external parasites, MBD, impaction are some sicknesses it could be experiencing.
A healthy leopard gecko will move when gently nudged and will be quirky and alert. sunken eyes or feaces smeared around a geckos underside are signs of a gecko being unhealthy.
Today mine had a massive buldge in his head and i think its a head tumor if that's how you spell it

no absolutely not! If your leopard gecko needs a companion try another leopard gecko (you can not pair male leopard geckos with other male leopard gecko)
