One way you can tell is if there is a knocking noise or rattling noise when you start the car. Also, the belt may keep making the noise until you accelerate over about 2500 rpm...depending on the vehicle. Check to make sure the belts arent too tight or too lose. If all else fails the best thing to do is let a shop look at it.
i am trying to replace the belt tensioner on my 1997 ls400 , i got everything loose but there is a plastic seal right in front of it , it is holding the tensioner and there is where i got stuck , can someone tell me how to get the tensioner out without removing the plastic seal . thanks
Low fuel pressure.
i do not know........ i got the same problem......
We need to know the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle then we need to know if you want to change the belt tensioner or the belt or both.
i don't know i got the same problem xD
I DON'T KNOW WHO IS BUT I THINK IT IS EIN/HAYATE. If you have a problem with that then I got a problem with you. If u ain't down with that then I got 2 words 4 uSUCK IT. What.
The only way to know which style tensioner you have is to remove the crank pulley and timing cover and look.
All parts are not created equal sometimes, apparently you just got a defective tensioner, it should still be under warranty.
I dont know. Ok?!?! You got a problem with that?!?!?! X(e
It is normal for the tensioner to shake. That is why it is spring loaded. If you have the a/c on,it will shake worse. But it is normal.
I'm confused. I can tell you how to change the tensioner on a 7.3L Powerstroke. The problem is Ford did not make a Powerstroke until 1994. Is your truck a 1992? What is the 8th digit in your VIN Number? If it's an F you have a Powerstroke. Let me know so I can help you with your question.
bad tensioner, replace the belt tensioner/pulley. I had the same problem.
