In almost all instances, you should be shopping around and finding an artist that you respect and whose work you really like. If this is not the case, then you should look through the portfolios of the artists in your local shop to see what they are capable of. Some shops showcase awards and trophies in their waiting room area, but this is not always the case. Sometimes the artist will have their awards and such in their office, but once again, this is not always the case. Some artists just don't do the convention circuit.
it is legal with parental consent.

Yes if the tattoo artist is a good tattoo artist it is safe to get, but it is not safe for guaranteeing your job. Neck tattoos will really limit job opportunities. I'm a tattoo artist and I haven't taken that step yet because i don't know what my future may hold.
To be a very good artist and kind to the customers. Know what your doing and do not panick if you make a mistake.
Absolutley, but should you? Absolutley not! As with any industry you should know it and live it. If all your staff were to leave you, could you support your business. Also us real artists are insulted by people who cash in on our industry without putting in the disclipline to become an artist first, not a tattoo artist, but an artist.
If your parents are present then the tattoo artist might do the piece, but its still at the discression of the artist id imagine.
A tattoo artist has to know what their doing and have skill to do it. They can't mess up with the piece their drawing in someones skin. And a veterinarian need to also know what their doing about animals and they has to have the interest in animals any time of animal.
I'm 15 (one week from 16), when I'm going to France this spring. Is the legal age 16? Or does any of you know about any tattoo shop/artist who will tattoo me?
An tattoo artist must know how to create an mathematically correct pentagram so he can design a perfect nautical star, at least.. If a tattoo artist does not know how to construct objects in a correct way he is not much of an artist..
I know multiple people with tattoos and no. I do not think they puss ink. You should probably go to the tattoo artist and question him, or go to the doctor.
