There is a lot of dark coloured blood. If it was an artery, the blood would be pulsing out, and bright red. Veins carry blood that needs oxygen back to the heart and lungs so oxygen can be replenished. This is why the blood is dark. Well oxygenated blood is bright red (in the arteries)
If you cut a vein, the part of the vein farther away from the heart will become pale.
If blood is just running out of a cut, it likely isn't an artery. If the blood is spurting out of the wound, it's an artery.
Vein blood is some what slower moving and a little darker in color as it has lost oxygen.
When someone attempts suicide by cutting the wrists the radial artery is the main artery that is cut. The ulnar artery may also be lacerated.
how will blood flow out in case an artery is cut
If it is the femoral artery, you will bleed out extremely fast. Probably faster than it will take you to get to a hospital. Being the main artery in the leg that comes directly from the aorta, it contains an immense amount of pressure, which means, LOTS of blood.
The mouth. If you don't take that for an answer there is a vein that runs the inside of your thigh that, when lacerated, is quite fatal and similar to the jugular on the side of the neck and the main artery that also runs on the inside of upper arm.
It depends on the severity of the cut. If you cut an artery, you are more likely to die, or at least more quickly.
artery artery
An artery is a part of the circulatory system, the main organ could be considered the heart
An artery in the body is like the highway where veins are the main street's. In an artery there is much more volume of blood being moved at a faster speed. It carries more blood because it is bigger then a vein. If you cut a vein the volume of blood loss would be less because of the size limiting the flow. If the femoral artery was cut the blood loss would come out much faster and be much more serious. You could expel all of your blood in a matter of minutes before a life squad could get to the scene.
An artery because blood is pumped through the arteries at a much higher pressure than the veins. Therefore if you cut an artery you will lose a lot more blood a lot quicker than if you cut a vein.
Laceration
In your wrist it's the radial
The main role of all arteries is to carry blood away from the heart. The main arteries are the pulmonary artery and the aorta.
