How do you know if you saw your angel?

Angels are recorded to have been in The Bible. They also spoke to humans. What is common when someone saw an angel was the fact they could figure that they were angels. In dreams they had wings but not when they became transformed into visible beings.

If angels exist in reality, they are pure spirits that can not be seen, unless perhaps they choose to be seen, in which case there must surely be a very clear purpose in this. Another view is that they exist only in our imagination and are therefore any angel we see is part of that imagination in action.
