Those have shocks on them. I replced the rear ones on my '97 a while back. Those were pretty easy. I haven't tried the front ones yet.
I have a 97 Toyota Camry and was told it would be anywhere from $1000 to $1600 depending on whether I wanted top of the line struts or not.

There is a difference between the two, however your 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a modern version of the conventional shock system, where the shock and coil spring are separated under the live axle. Good news is anyone with an extension, socket wrench, channel lock pliers and 13 14 and 15 millimeter sockets can change them out in a matter of minutes.
