I have heard that it they have two bends on the belly of their shell it is a female and only one for a male. But whenever I heard that I would look at all the boxer turtles a saw and found that they all had one bend. Actually, I think that is true because I have both a male and female Box turtle and the female has two bends and male has one. Anyway, also, the female will have way shorter claws then the male. There are alot more info on the internet buddy but i think the female is bigger????????
The males have red or orange eyes and their top of their shell if flat and their belly is concave. The females have amber or light brownish eyes and their shell is more curved on top and their belly is convex.
You can't.
It takes 7 - 10 years for an eastern box turtle to reach sexual maturity. As sub adults sexual traits can start to become apparent around 4 - 5 years old (not exactly babies) however it may take longer. Usually as they approach sexual maturity males will develop an indentation in their caudal plastron (back half of bottom shell), their eyes will slowly turn from brownish to pinkish and eventually bright red (or bright orange in fewer cases). Females will keep brown or chestnut colored eyes, retain a flat plastron and tend to have a rounder higher shell. But keep in mind there are variations that sometimes make discernment of sex a little difficult requiring more intense examination especially in turtles that have not reached full maturity.
I would say under three years old it is impossible to know for sure and questionable in many cases until the turtle has reached full sexual maturity and even then it is possible (but very uncommon) for a female to have red eyes or a slight indentation in the plastron.
Boy: long tail, rounder tail, concaved undershell, longer front claws
Girl: short tail, flatter tail, flat undershell, and shorter front claws
the differst is a male has a indent in the bottem of his shell and a females shell iis flat
da girls will have a flater back den da boys an day will have a hole under there tail where day pee an da boys will have a slit shape like a ( u )
You can see if a turtle is a male or female by their tail. A female will have a shorter tail than a male.
You usually can tell by their tale if its longer its a male if its shorter its a female.
well a Male's tail is bigger than a females that is if you are talking about the bum breathing turtle.

no, the female turtle needs a male to fertilize her eggs. she can hold her eggs for about 3 years. she can lay them before that though, if she wants.
how can you tell the difference between a tortoise and a turtle by shell in picture
The way you can tell a difference between the male and the female is because the female has orange eyes and a yellow throat, but with a male Spotted Turtle it has brown eyes and a tanned throat
one is a turtle and the other is straight
A hare is a wild rabbit. A tortoise is like a turtle but they live strictly on land and usually in desert areas. They have domed shells while turtles have more flatten shells.
The difference between a turtle and a chameleon is that a turtle is a animal that has a shell for a body and could live in the water or in land, and a chameleon is like a lizard that changes colors according where it is.
the deference between a turtle and a tortoise is that a turtle has a smaller body and a tortoise has huge claws
