Breeders go from the date their Queen is mated to a Stud cat and work from there. A cat's gestation lasts on average 63-65 days. If you do not know the date your cat was mated, it can often be rather difficult to tell exactly how far along the pregnancy is.
There are, however, a few signs to go by:
Ultrasound done by a vet is another way to guess the birth date, and to check on the number and health of the kittens.
* She loses interest in roaming/hunting and prefers to stay inside lounging. * She becomes NOTICEABLY more affectionate, approaching you to be cuddled and held much more frequently than usual. * She shows a large increase in appetite. * Depending on how far along she is you may notice her tummy swelling, and often if you actually hold her tummy you can feel the kittens moving around. If she is at this stage get ready because you only have about a week left to prepare for the new arrivals! * She will start "nesting". Hours before the birth she will find a place she considers warm and safe - possibly your own bed - and begin to turn it into a form of birthing den. You should prepare a nice clean cardboard box for her instead, lined with shredded newpaper, which can be easily disposed of after the birth. It's a messy business. Once the kittens and the mother are cleaned up you can look into adding blankets and so on. If you have decided she is pregnant you'll need to feed her as much as she will eat as often as she will eat it. This should be a combination of her regular food AND kitten food, which is rich in the nutrients she needs to promote healthy growth in her babies. AND GIVE HER AS MUCH LOVE AS SHE WANTS!
You will notice her middle bulging at the sides. My cat became very clingy and followed me about. Good luck
Take her to the vet to be sure. Some ways are if she is being more protective, particularly of her stomach. If she looks fat but the way to tell is it looks more ovalish, and less like fat.
There are many ways you can tell if your cat is pregnant. At three or four weeks, her nipples become bigger and pinker that a sign that she is pregnant that stage is called pinking and if she shows more affection towards you and if she has a change in diet that's another way. Expecting Queens will start to eat a lot more also.
You don't notice if your cat is pregnant until a little while after her egg was fertilized. When you start seeing a bulge in the mid, to lower section of the cats belly, that's when you know your cat could be pregnant. The belly starts growing at a somewhat rapid pace after you find out she is pregnant. If you wanted to know for sure, you could have a vet tell you if she is or not.
I cant answer im too busy thinking about cute little kittens
Big belly, swollen nipples. Later on in the pregnancy you can feel the babies wriggling around.
Usually you can tell that a cat is pregnant around 3 weeks when their stomach starts to grow larger. Before that, it is very hard to tell if the cat is pregnant. Some signs are eating more, more affectionate, and not wanting to go outside as often. Now be careful, if your cat is already overweight than the stomach can mean other things as well, and the cat could just be over-eating. Also, you will know your cat is pregnant if she was in heat, went outside, had access to a tom cat, and came back and has any of those other symptoms. My cat just snuck outside last week when she was in heat and we believe that she is pregnant.
You will be able to tell because she will have gotten fatten within a matter of no time. She will also have larger nipples.
If it start to eat more or if u feel a bump but don't push to hard on its belly
look at your cats tummy when its big babys are inside
Take it to the vets to check :)
a calico cat is defined by its white. if it has no white, it is not a calico but a tortiseshell.
a calico cat.
A calico cat is a cat that is white, orange, and black. "Calico" is the term that describes a cat with these colours; it is not a breed name. Cats with the calico colouring can be many different breeds.
No, there is no such thing as a miniature calico cat. Calico cats are not actually a breed, calico describes their color.
A fertile male calico or tortoiseshell is very rare. Tortoiseshells are identified by the presence of orange in their fur. Calicos are the same, but have a large amount of white which makes the fur patched rather than mottled. If your calico male has mated with a female, it does not necessarily mean he is fertile. If the female becomes pregnant and there is absolutely no way of her having mated with a cat besides your male calico, then he must be fertile. Bear in mind that breeding a calico male does not increase the chances of getting male calico kittens.
The Webkinz Signature Calico Cat is coming out in August 2009.
calico isn't a breed ,they just have a lot of colors. it depends if the cat is a short tail cat or something.
A cat of many colors is call a Calico cat. The Calico colour is usually found in females, and very rare in males.
No, they are not always inbreed they are like every other living cat. --- Calico cats are simply the result of a ginger or tortoiseshell cat and a black or tortoiseshell cat. The only similarities is that both cats must have some white.
Yes, it is a dilute calico!
The Calico Cat - 1914 was released on: USA: 28 December 1914
Calico cats can have the same amount of kittens as any other cat. Calico is a certain coat pattern, not a separate breed.
