To Know if you have sprained your wrist, is, discoloration, swelling, and if you write that should hurt too. Now, to treat it, what you need to do is= ice for 15 to 20 minutes a day, wrap the hurt area of the wrist, and don't do physical activity unless you feel up for it. Swimming is fine because it doesn't use your wrist. And also this means missing Phys. Ed if you have to!

You cant stretch your fingers out much without hurting them and your wrist is swollen. If you want to know more, go to centrastate.com or another hospital website.

It will hurt really bad, and you can only move it to and fro.. but you cant close it all the way or open it all the way. you should get it checked or x-rayed to really find out.
If your finger starts burning! feels like your finger is on fire and gets very swollen!
Typically, any type of sprain will begin to swell around the affected joint. You also might see swelling over the top or side of your hand depending on how bad the sprain is and the particular finger that is sprained. It's probably a good idea to have a doctor check it out to make sure it isn't broken. Sometimes when ligaments tear, they rip away small pieces of bone with them. Your fingers are important - you don't want to lose mobility. Get it checked out by a doctor.
Why, no it isn't. But thank you for caring.

When it is broken it commonly takes a weird shape, and the person cannot move their hand without screaming and yelling in pain. However, if it is sprained it will hurt for a while, but you can still move, and -for some things- use it.

I hope I helped! ;)

It would hurt when you open and close it. It will also be tender to the touch. Of course these will also be the signs of a broken bone too.

You would go to a doctor and have it X-rayed. There is really no other way to know if something inside of you is sprained or broken.

Does a dog lick a lot if his front foot is sprained?

Most I've heard of dogs with sprained feet is that they favor it, cry with the pain, yelp and whine, but I haven't heard of a dog licking the injured foot. I've never had a dog with a sprained foot before, so I'm not any expert or anything. It really depends on the dog's view of how to make the pain go away. Some may try licking, and some may just whine and cry. when my dog kept licking his paw i had a closer look and found he had a thorn between his pads. if its the same paw he keeps licking have a good look at it, its normally a sign that something is wrong.
