the prime component in keeping an Iguana healthy and eating is Sunlight, and heat. They should be kept at roughly 82 degrees during normal daytime hours. Try using an Natural sunlight bulb in the tank. Also provide a bowl of water with a aerator such as one sold to put in a fish tank to stimulate humididty and water movement. Once these conditions are met, they should eat as much as they can eat. Try a mix of collared greens, fruits, kelp, but no meat as their kidneys cannot handle it. Try to balance the food. Be sure to add a calcium supplement and reptile vitamins to any food provided. Your Iguana should thrive. Also, keep a tank larger than you think it will need. They should not be confined in small spaces. I bought a display case from a record store and converted it for my baby Rita. 5 Ft long.
Be sure to not let the food rot, so you should put enough food so some is not eaten in a day and change it out the next.
