What kind of problems do navel rings cause?

Navel rings don't actually cause any trouble, it's the mis use of the aftercare routeen and user error that causes the problem. Navel piercings need to be clean and they need fresh air in order to heal, more often than not people wear tight clothing and cover the piercing for hours on end thus not allowing the piercing to breath. Then skipping the proper cleaning routeen or over cleaning the piercing can cause trouble again. I have provided hundreds of ladies with navel piercings and out of that group only 6% had issues due to the above listed points. # Buy only the best jewellery form known quality vendors (piercing studios) # Get the piercing professionally done by a shop with an excellent track record # Follow the instructions you have been given and if you have trouble go back to the studio for help. # Give the piercing time to heal 3~6 months of longer. Follow the above listed points and you should have no trouble with your navel piercing.

How do you heal holes after removal of navel piercing?

Wash the piercing take out the jewellery and leave it alone. It will heal over in a few months or a few weeks it depends on how old the piercing is.

Does navel shape actually affect whether or not a piercing would be ejected over time?

Actually, it is more a problem of how much skin is available in the piercing area, and how thick that skin is. Thin skin is more likely to allow the piercing to eject. Check with a licensed body piercer and let them assess your navel skin where the piercing would be.

How long will it take to close a navel piercing of five years?

Well if you have had the piercing that long it won't close, however it will shrink over time. The mark left by the initial piercing will remain in place and will look less noticable over time.

What is the bump that you get on the side of a nose piercing?

That is a hypertrophic reaction. This is a reaction to an irritant, generally the over use of cleaning products and failure to rinse the piercing out correctly after cleaning. Irrigate the piercing under running water and stop using whatever you are using for cleaning the piecing , the bump will go away over the next 5 days.

Is it bad if a navel piercing bleeds?

Well right after the piercing is done sometimes there can be a little bleeding, rare but it does happen. If you have had the piercing for a few days this is just a reaction to bumping and cleaning and the bleeding should stop fairly quick. Remember it's a new hole so yeah bleeding could occur, once the tissue starts to knit the bleeding will stop and the piercing will heal up. Now be sure you are cleaning it well and properly, don't over clean as this can lead to further issues down the road.

Is the jewelry included with the navel piercing or is it separate?

It really varies from studio to studio, some charge for the jewellery over and above the piercing. Your best bet is to call the studios and ask them.

What do you do if your belly piercing has a bad odder?

If you have an odour coming from the piercing I would suggest bathing and cleaning the piercing. You have to maintain a level of hygene for your piercings and your health over all.

Can you use rubbing alcohol on your belly piercing mixed with water?

No you should be following the aftercare instructions you were provided with by your professional body piercer.New Piercing Aftercare1) Clean your navel piercing twice a day for the next 3 days, once in the morning and again at night. You can do this in the shower or bath but you must always rinse the piercing out using fresh running water.1a) Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap-up and Rinse off using your normal bath products. We don't want any other cleaning or grooming products to enter a piercing we are trying to clean. Leave cleaning your navel piercing as the last thing you clean before exiting the shower or bath.1b) Using your Soft Soap brand liquid anti-bacterial soap apply a small amount to your hand and lather it up. Once lathered, apply this to the navel piercing and jewellery, working it into the piercing by rotating the ring. Once the Soft Soap is in the piercing wait a few moments then rinse the piercing in running water again rotating the ring to ensure all the soap is out of the navel and piercing.1c) Come out of the shower or bath and towel dry, but use a tissue to dry the navel piercing inside and out thoroughly (towels can retain bacteria and should not be used on new or fresh piercings)After 3 DaysFollow the above steps 1a through 1c only once a day for the next three to four weeks. Between actual cleanings you may rotate the ring only under running water after you have soaped up and rinsed off and don't intend on using any other cleaning or grooming products. After 4 WeeksFollow the above steps 1a through 1c only once every 2 or 3 days for the next three to four months. Over cleaning is the number one cause of irritated navel piercings, striping the natural skin oils will tend to dry the navel piercing out causing it to look red and irritated.Things Not to Do with New Navel Piercings.Do Not use Epsom Salts, Table Salt, Betadine, Tea Tree Oil, Polysporin, Neosporin, Bacitracin, Bactroban, Bactine or any other topical solution or ointment on your piercing what so ever. These products are not for use on Puncture Wounds! If it's not listed on the above aftercare guide don't use it on the piercing!.Do Not use Sun Block, Sun Tan Lotion, Baby Oil or any other skin care product on a new or unseasoned piercing.

What day should you start to clean an industrial piercing?

The following day; be careful not to "over clean" it, though. That will irritate the piercing just as much as not cleaning it.
