How do you tell if a Pokemon likes you in Pokemon SoulSilver?

First go to Pallet Town. Then go into your rival's house and speak to Daisy. She will ask you if you want to groom one of your Pokemon. Answer yes. After she finishes grooming talk to her again and she will tell you how much the Pokemon first in your party likes you.

- Place the Pokemon you want to check friendship for in the first slot of your Party.

- Go to Goldenrod city in Johto.

- Go east into the house above the Bike Shop.

- Talk to the Blue lady.

Depending on the situation, she will either tell you how much the Pokemon likes you, or she'll give you a hint.

Go to your home town and go talk to your rivals sister. She may clean one of your Pokemon the first time you talk to her. she'll tell you how the first Pokemon in your party feels about you and what you can do to raise it's love.

3. It's friendly toward you. It looks sort of happy.
4. It's quite cute.
5. You should treat it better It's not used to you.
6. It doesn't seem to like you at all. It looks mean.

Each of these statements have values as well:

1. 250+
2. 200 to 249
3. 150 to 199
4. 100 to 149
5. 50 to 89
6. 1 to 49

When your PoKéMoN reaches 220 or higher, evolve it by raising it's level in battle or by using a rare candy.

To raise your PoKéMoN's happiness try:

• Keeping the PoKéMoN in your party
• Sending it out to battle first (you don't have to keep it out)
• Using it in battle so it levels up
• Giving it vitamins (though they can get expensive)
• Getting it a massage/grooming in Pallet Townor Goldenrod City Underground
• Giving it certain berries (the sweeter ones I'm guessing)
• Catching the PoKéMoN in a Luxury Ball
• Letting it hold the Soothe Bell to DOUBLEit's happiness (on the ground in Johto National Park)

DO NOT!

Feed it bitter foods or let it faint repeatedly in battle!

Go to pallet town and ask your neighbours mother to see one of your pokemon. She will groom it once a day, to make it a little friendlier towards you. If you talk to her again, she will tell you what the pokemon thinks of you.

Another, perhaps not as well-known fact is that you can tell how much a pokemon likes you in the animation when applying potions or antidotes. The closer they get to the screen, the more they like you.
