You can tell if it is done by there won't be any pink left to the color of the chicken, it will be white, very soft, and tender, and will fall apart easily. The chicken will then be ready for chicken salad, to add to soups, etc.

Chicken is cooked when the meat is firm and clear liquid comes out when you stab it. Also, them meat needs to be white throughout with no pink ( which indicates the meat is undercooked).

Chicken is generally considered done when the internal temperature is 165F. Anything less is dangerous.
