Jem, Scout and Atticus are very close. This is shown very often throughout the novel such as them often complimenting each other, spending time with each other and listening to advice when it is given.

Outside of that it's not so close though. For example, Scout really doesn't like Aunt Alexandra. And Jem and Atticus aren't too fond of her either.

What neighbor dies during the winter in to kill a mockingbird?

Mrs Dubose. She scared the children with her unkind (and rather snappy) remarks. What they didn't know was that she had become addicted to morphine, which she used as a painkiller for her illness. She knew that she was dying but she was determined to get out of her addiction, which, in the end, she does, before she dies.

What is the story Who Killed the Mockingbird?

there are different themes without the novel, these are-bravery/ courage shown by jem which is one of the main themes-childish innocence seen in scoutObviously, RACISM was the main part this book was made for (dont know how you missed that)and Mrs. Dubose exemplified just as much bravery as Jem -you'd know if you read the bookthe theme of the mockingbird in to kill a mockingbird is that, well, the mockingbird (like it said in the book) doesnt do anything or harm anyone- it just sits and chirps. and so, to kill a mockingbird, means that you are killing something that is very innocent... which can relate to people who judge people who are innocent.... if that makes sense!
