Determine the mass of an empty balloon. Then blow as much air as you can into the balloon and determine the mass again. The blown up balloon should be heavier and occupy more volume (is bigger). This shows that the air used to blow it up has mass and volume, and therefore is matter.
the air you breathe out is a mixture of oxygen, carbon dioxide sorry those are the only two that i definitely know i think there's a tiny bit of helium in there to
The Very Air We Breathe was created on 2007-05-29.
The air that you breathe out mixes with the rest of the air in your general vicinity, and will eventually mix with all the air in the Earth's atmosphere.
78% 0of the air we breathe is nitrogen, same as the amount in the air.
It doesn't matter that you can't see the air you breathe. Oxygen is gas, gas is a form of matter. So, air is matter.
Matter has weight and takes up space. You know that air takes up space, because when you breath in, your lungs fill with air and expand. :) MoMMy.!
The air you breathe is a gas which is one of the four physical states of matter.
We know air is matter because when we blow up a balloon the air will take up space so the balloon gets bigger. We know that air has matter because it has mass. Anything that has mass and takes up space has matter.

as far as i know, everything has matter. Even the air. You may not see it, but it's there. I hope this helped! :D
try to breathe inside it.

Actually, whales are mammals, so they have lungs. Yes, they DO breathe air, but not water. They just pretty much take a big breath of air, dive, then surface when they need to breathe. ADDED: Is this even a serious question? I don't know a single person who doesn't know whales are mammals, not fish. Mammals are restricted to breathing atmospheric oxygen and cannot breathe water-bound oxygen.
They breathe air with lungs.
They do breathe air.
