Modle numbers were not used unitl @ 1957. It will be marked inside the frame by the crane assembly. The sn will be on the butt and/or same place as the model number. You can provide a detailed description of ALL markings or call S&W.
if your smith is a current production ,IE smith and Wesson classic firearms,it would be in the 375-600.00 dollar range.if it is an older model 25 discontinued in 1991 it would run in the 250-475 dollar range.
Good question! I've wondered about that myself quite a bit as well. Sherriff Bannerman definitely carries a Smith & Wesson revolver, judging by the inscription on the right side of the barrel, but it is unknown which model it is. It is mostlikely a Smith & Wesson Model 66 .357 Magnum revolver, judging by the wood grips and the stainless steel finish. The Model 66 is the stainless steel version of the Smith & Wesson Model 19, which was the first .357 Magnum revolver by Smith & Wesson.I don't know for sure, butI'm almost positive it is a Model66. Hopefully this helps!
Would need to know which model, and the condition of the firearm. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Need to know the caliber in order to answer.
In order to bet a value for your Smith and Wesson handgun,I will need to know if your Smith and Wesson is a break open(top break)revolver,or a regular revolver, with a swing out cylinder. If you have a break open model then you have a either a 32 double action made from 1883-1909,or a 32 safety hammerless made from 1902-1909.If you have a regular swing out cylinder revolver it is a 32 Hand Ejector 5th change that was made from 1910-1917.Please identify which model and then we can establish a value for your Smith and Wesson.
Call S&W and they will tell you. It was made in the mid to late 80's.
I don't know google it.
Not stainless steel. Would need to know which model you have, or at least what type of revolver it is... sales@countrygunsmith.net
Impossible to know. The closest you can come is the ship date. You will have to call S&W for that. Estimate about 2003
Impossible to know the exact model from just the sn.
The Model 586 was produced c. 1980-1999. There were a number of variations. It would help to know the barrel length and the posting of a picture.
Someone over at smith-wessonforum.com will know.
