If they have a vagina then they are a chick. If they have a penis they are a man-chick.
Male and female have sex. Female lays egg(s). Eggs hatch = Chicks
Chick sexing is the procedure of determining the gender of chicks and other hatchlings.Chicks' appearance can be very similar, whether male or female, after hatching. Farmers and other chicken growers frequently need to know the gender of the chicks because of different feed schedules and production needs of the chickens. There are 3 methods for sexing chicks. Two methods, feather sexing and vent sexing, are done by a trained chicken sexer, and rely on observations of physical characteristics of the chicks. The third method, and most reliable, is raising sex-linkedchickens. They are cross-bredand produce chicks whose color is different at hatching. Choosing out the male chicks is then an easy process. There are two common varieties, the black sex link and the red sex link. The black sex link female is a completely black chick, the male black sex link chick is black with a white spot on the top of his head. The red sex link female is a buff or red chick, the male red sex link chick is white. If ordering chicks, choosing a sex link trait is the most reliable method to choose your chicken's gender.
Rubik's Cubes. Chicks dig cubes.
No vegetarian chicks don't like meat.
Chicks hatch and know instinctively what to eat. Brood hens do not teach or feed the chicks.
Sex-link is the name for the group of cross-breeds that can be sexed instantly after hatching. The females and males differ in colour. Black Stars are just one breed in this group.
in sex-linked chickens the males coloring and markings will be different looking in newly hatched chicks. For example: Golden Sex Link Chickens (also known as Golden Comets), will have reddish yellow chicks and lighter yellow chicks. The feathers are different for the different sexes. It is easy to determine if the chick is a female (pullet) or male (roo). Sex-linked chickens are not a standard chicken breed, rather a hybrid cross of two different breeds, usually combined to create highly productive hens. There are several different sex-link hybrids on the market. The benefit to buying sex-linked chicks is knowing that you have all pullets and no roosters in the bunch!
you can sex a silkie by its pompom on the top if it is big that normally means its a hen and if it is small or doesn't have one it normally means a rooster
The easiest way is to look at the comb and legs. Male chicks usually have a larger comb and legs than the female chicks. You can't ever tell 100% though even hatcheries don't always sex them correctly.
they do this because ,if they are lost ,the hen will know where they are.
because of the yellow eyes
