All watercraft come with a BIA rating certification label affixed to the craft. This label has such information as horsepower rating, and passenger/load limits printed on it. If by chance the label is missing on the boat in question, check a similar rigg, eg. same size and construction material, for the information. A trip to a local marine dealership is good place to start.
140 Horse Power
1991 model, 15 horsepower
Yes. For example, you can have an outboard motor on a boat.
A 4 hp Mercury outboard, produces a true 4 hp, rated at the prop.
An outboard motor generally is attached either directly to the transom of the boat, or to a bracket that is attached to the transom of the boat.
Two items are required to determine the year model of a Mercury outboard, the serial number and the horsepower rating.
The transom on a boat is the stern on which an outboard motor can be clamped.
Only if it has an engine or outboard motor fitted.
Outboard motor.
