When it doesn't feel right to do. That is how I know what sin is. Granted there are some people who are mentally ill and don't feel anything when committing sin but to us healthy folk, it does not feel good to do.
Answer:
God provides man with the definition for "sin":
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW." (I John 3:4)
Further scriptures reveal "which" law it's talking about:
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but BY the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet." (Rom.7:7)
The law that says: "Thou shalt not covet" is the "Ten Commandments."
Therefore -- sin is the breaking of the Ten Commandments.
I do not know what you mean by "eternal sin", but what I do know is that, suicide is indeed a sin.
No. A mortal sin is a sin that you know is seriously wrong and you know you are doing it. A mortal sin would be like if you seriosulsy injured someone on purpose.
The keyword to know that doing good is right and not doing it is sin is "conscience."
There are two types of sin. Venial sin is a non-serious sin, when the sinner does not know it is wrong. Mortal sin is a serious sin, when the sinner is aware of what they are doing.
Yes he knows
Yes, to know to do good and not do it , is sin . Our repentance is required by God.
I dont know if its a mortal or vinial sin.... But its definatley a sin. Just think about it, your mouth is not
people are accountable for their sin when they know the difference between right and wrong
Yes, but you would need to know a degree measure too. [Sin(A)/a] = [Sin(B)/b] = [Sin(C)/c] [a/Sin(A)] = [b/Sin(B)] = [c/Sin(C)]
Sin means an offence, violation, wrong, etc. You can know and experience sin by viewing the actions of violence, lawlessness, corruption, etc. that people all around the world are committing.
yes sin is sin theres not an exception just because you dont know about it
James 4:17 - Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. [NKJV]
