You do know that a praying mantis is an insect right? The praying mantis isn't actually praying. It is called that for the stance it makes.
If it just layed eggs then it will die very soon. It might need water or food. Moths, knats and flies are good to feed it. Only use purified water though! Chemicals in a regular tap will kill it.

I don't know the answer to this but know one of our 3 1/2 month old adult Chinese Praying Mantis threw up, it died two days later.
Hello! I would not feed a Praying Mantis to a Crested Lizard, because Mantis' have spikes on their claws, which wont kill the Crested, but could very easily harm him.
