You don't
Sooner or later that time will come. Talk to your veterinarian.
no you should never put a dog down. its a horrible thing that I can't stress enough. train it or give it to someone who can but don't put it down.
NO
Depends on what kind of sickness. Please do not put a dog down because you can not afford medication for them. Usually you know when your dog has given up. When they stop eating, drinking and going to the bathroom. Becoming very lethargic. Its hard to explain.
Well I don't know how you'd do that humanely yourself. Why not spend the $$ to have a licensed vet put him out of his pain?
Close the door to the room you're in and keep the dog in the other room at the time, or else put the dog on a leash outside at the time.
It would be best to put the dog down. If you let the dog die you would have to be the dog in so much pain. You would be helping the dog if you put it down and you put the dog out of its misery.
Dave, because he was getting old he was put down.
the dog is scared that you might be hitting her
A guard dog may or may not be put down if it attacked someone. It depends on the situation. Without knowing more details it is impossible to make a decision. If the guard dog attacked a burglar it would not be put down. If the guard dog attacked a pedestrian walking by who posed absolutely no danger, the dog would probably be put down. The context and situation determines the outcome.
I dunno my dog lived to be 15 then got put down but I have seen older dogs, my cousins dog was wayyy older and died of cancer so I dunno, it depends. PS I know this is a joke :)
You should give the dog away to a strong guy who lives alone and will care for it, oh and ice pack your daughter :]
