There is a fill line on stick. (Has to be running)
You add the fluid down the transmission dipstick tube.
needs just a quart of trans oil but don't know where to put it
If it is an automatic, then there is not a place to put a funnel. The transmission comes from factory sealed with fluid. Unless there is something that I dont know :)...... There is something you don't know. There is a fill plug on the under the vehicle, but you can't fill it unless you can get under the vehicle and you have a special tool.
theres not really a type of fluid, theres just different names brands but its all the same transmission fluid, that i know of anyway.
dumb question, you put the transmission fluid is the hole the dip stick is in, its like this on all cars that i know of
As in 16 fl. Ounces in a can, it means FLUID ounces. there are also ounces as in weight, so they put fluid so you can know the difference.
read the stick ..if you are past the full line your over full
i dont no
Look for the red ring attached to the trans dipstick, pull it out and clean it. Fit it back into tube and pull out, if fluid is in crosshatched area it's OK. If lower, get a funnel and put fluid down this tube.
Where is the radiator to put fluid for 2001 jetta?
When changing the transmission fluid of any car, it is important to know how much fluid to put in. A 2001 Pontiac Sunfire takes 2.5-3 quarts of transmission fluid.
Pour it into the brake fluid reservoir. It is in front of the brake booster. If you don't know where that is then take it to a service center before you have major problems.
