Depends on what parasite you have. Large intestinal parasites like Ascaris can cause diarrhea and a swollen belly. Many microscopic roundworms also cause dysentery , but can be diagnosed acurately only with a microscope. The malaria parasite causes deadly fevers. Tapeworms cause weight loss. The Filaria worms cause extreme swelling in the body- usually in legs, and sometimes in the genitals.
So many different kinds of parasites, both microscopic and macroscopic- and each has it's own complex life- cycles, hosts , and symptoms!
It's a rather gross but fascinating subject to study !
Sure many common insects are parasites and are also in japan-scabies for example. I know someone who got them on Okinawa.
They are know as parasites

Parasites are what feed on your nutrients, as you should know. Flagellum is almost tail-like structure in a prokaryote. Parasitic Flagellates, therefore are parasites with flagellum

Chickens have external parasites like mites, lice, chiggers, foul ticks, etc. I don't know about fleas.
Endoparasites, Ascarids... That's all I know sorry.
No - they are not parasites.
If you know that your dog had GI parasites, then you should have a fecal sample rechecked 1-2 weeks after deworming.
