For dogs under 30 pounds, multiply their age by 6.

For example, if you have a Chihuahua and she is three, she is 18 in dog years.

For dogs 30-90 pounds, multiply their age by 7.

If your Labrador retriever is 6, he is 42 in dog years, so about middle-aged.

For dogs over 95 pounds, multiply their age by 8.

If your Newfoundland is 5, she is 40 in dog years.
