When my guinea pig died last night, She was breathing really hard and was lying on her left side. She was making a whimpering sound. She was always trying to snuggle up to the other guinea pig. Once I had held one last time, I put her back into her cage next to lucky ( The other guinea pig ). She slowly stopped breathing so hard. Eventually, she was very still, and was no more.

When my Guinea pig was dieing she did not move at all except for a little twitching every once and a wile. She would lay on her left side and when I held her she would not want to snuggle like she always does she just sat there. When I tried to feed her she would not eat or drink her eyes were wide open and she would not blink and she would pee a lot. So I put her in a paper towel were she slowly died.
When your pet is on the last chapter of their life, there are some tell-tale signs that may help you deal with the pain of loosing them. Some obvious changes with their eatting and drinking habbits will start to show, and they may start to get bald patches and be slugish when walking around their cage. Theirs not much you can do for them except let them know they were a great pet, and keep encouraging them to eat.
you know when your guinea pig is dieing when it is not eating or walking slowly and just laying down a lot
It'll lift it bk feet up a little it will go Into a ball like a hedghog messing with her privites ehhh :O lol but it ll making like a little squeak it sounds a little in the background but it will keep

You can tell if it's dead by poking it and if it still doesn't move, flip it on it's back. If it's still not moving, it may be dead. If it's on it's back and not moving, it could be dead. If you still are not sure, take it to the vet or animal emergency hospitals for the doctors to take a look.
A dead guinea pig like any dead mammal will have the following characteristics:
Dead animals not breath, and have no pulse, or heart beat.
A dead animal eyes will in seconds after death loose their "lively look" and the animal will not react to having its eyes touched.
A dead animal's nose and the inside of its mouth will quickly loose the normal pink coloration of a living mammal , and will take on a grayish coloration.
The animal's body temperature will cool to the temperature of its surrounding. Rigor mortis is the stiffing of the body after death, rigor mortis will start in roughly an hour after death.
And if you don't believe your guinea pig has expired, after exhibiting all this evidence of having died; the poor critter is not going to smell too sweet after about a week. I really do not want go into further details about the subject of decay & decomposition of guinea pigs.
I hope your guinea pig has not died.

My beautiful pig died in June. He all of a sudden got very lethargic, he was very limp and slept alot. It was only within a day or so. You could tell something was wrong. The morning he died, I changed his bedding, gave him fresh water and hay and petted him. When I came home from work he was curled up and had died in his cage. He was a beautiful long haired guinea pig. When I got him he bit and hated people. After much love, he was good to handle and like everyone. What a gorgeous pig he was and yes, I still miss him.
you can tell because they will start sneezing.
It's just like other pets, the cavy would becOme more tired and weak and freigh. Also your cavy would move less and wouldn't respond to your voice in the same way
your guinea pig will make a" grunt" noise you've never heard before then she's telling you their coming out now!
hope this helped!
It depends how old it is it should be 8 months and up
but dont breed its a huge risk
The guinea pig most likely will not get sick.
No, this can make a guinea pig sick. The best thing to use to bathe a piggy is cat shampoo. It is mild and will not make your pet sick.
Yes, humans can eat guinea pig treats. However, if you eat enough of them, you will probably get sick.
All living things carry "germs," including people. Bacteria live in our mouths and digestive system and on our skin. Guinea pigs don't carry diseases any more than other domesticated animals and probably a lot less. Guinea pigs normally don't carry any diseases that can be transmitted to humans except in rare circumstances and a vet should be able to tell you if that particular guinea pig is sick. Handling them or buying one as a pet should be perfectly safe.
No it isn't ok. Guinea PIg food is made for Guinea Pigs. Your Cavy will get sick if they do eat hamser food.
It won't have thrown up - Guinea pig's physically cannot be sick.
when your guinea pig has a sign of thinning fur or bald patches or a wet nostrils.
if your guinea pig is sick take him/her to the v et.
not necessarily; if you leave one guinea pig in the cage with the sick guinea pig, the guinea pig that is not sick can get sick; you should separate them just to be safe but if the guinea pigs start to get lonely, put them back together
