- Honesty is always the best policy even though you know it will hurt the person that loves you. Most people in their lifetime will have a lost love or two in their friendship and most survive and meet someone in the future they truly love. It would be kinder to say that you just do not feel the same way about them as they do you, but care about them, but you need to move on and also let them get on with their lives. Life hurts sometimes, but all of us get through the hard times with both feet planted on the ground firmly.
