First question is what Model machine do you have ? It all depends on which model, well it all depends on which model. Not always is a uneven cut due to a deck needing leveled. Murray mowers, who filed bankruptcy and is now owned and operated by Briggs & Stratton Corp, has a weakness in the blade spindle area, the blades are thin and they actually do bend. If the sail side (the side opposite the cutting edge) is worn this also will affect the cut. If it is a considerable difference, check the jackshafts housings to make sure the bearings are good and not loose, or even broken. Post your model number on here and I will point you further. The model number is going to be either directly above the tow hitch, or directly below the seat, if it is a 46" rider the number will start with a 46, if it say is a 42, then the number will start with a 42, the first 2 digits tell its width cut, this is how you know you have the correct number.
You probably do not have rear wheels on your tractor. Purchase wheels for the mower deck and that should solve your problem. I had the problem of an uneven cut on turning. The rears wheels solved that problem. You can of course get them at Sears.
I was told by a person that has had cub cadets for years to place the tractor on a level concrete surfade, measure the distance from the can to the concrete and adjust to be the same by adjunsting the air in the tires. Hope it works for you
all you need to do is pull a total of 6 cotter pins, there are two in the front below the engine, you can easily see where the deck is attached there. next there is one on each side holding the deck to the risers that raise and lower deck height. next there is one that runs as sort of a cross brace that is behind the previous two, and finally there is a small one holding the blade engage cable to the pully on the deck itself. make sure to hang on to these, and remember where they went. ive done this so many times for winter i can do it in like 5 min, but the first time is always a learning experience, good luck!!!
The center bracket on both side has an adjustment on it. You need to remove the clips that holds it into the deck and then you can spin the adjuster up or down to level it.
Under the deck there will be a balance that can be to loose and adjusted. Put a long level across the deck loosen the balance and lock it down when it shows level.
Use a torpedo level on your blades.
Cub uses several models of mowing decks. However, if you have the standard 54" deck,
How do you remove the deck from the cub cadet lt1046 mower? The instructions do not say how to remove the cable and springs that are attached to the deck.
To replace a deck lift cable on a cub cadet lawn mower you can easily remove the two bolts underneath the deck that hold the lift cable in place and then replace the cable.
The deck sizes for Cub Cadet riding mowers range from 42 inches to 54 inches. The bigger the deck the more grass you will be able to cut making the task faster than with a smaller deck.
Your lawn mower may cut off while mowing if it is a cub cadet zero turn for various reasons. Ion most cases, the engine or the blades may malfunction. You should find a technician to fix the problem.

The drive belt on a Cub Cadet LX1040 is adjusted by turning a small bolt on the side of the cutting deck. It loosens or tightens the belt depending on the direction it is turned.

No the drive belt and Deck belt are two different belts, one powers the rear wheels, the other powers the deck. though if you are asking if they are the same belt as in same size, I don't know, you'll have to check your owners manual or talk to someone who repairs or can get parts for Cub Cadet mowers.
