How do you level your proffesions in wow?

Open your professions pane with the "K" key, and click on the icon for the profession you wish to level. You will see various recipes, each with a color. By collecting the materials mentioned in the recipe, you will be able to make those items, awarding you increases in skill if it is a recipe that is green or better.

Green - sometimes awards +1 skill

Yellow - often awards +1 skill

Red - always awards +1 skill

Red with a (+3) or (+5) - making this item offers 3 or 5 skill points

Grey-colored recipes do not offer skill points - you will need to make more difficult items.

Once every so often, you will hit the cap of your current profession level. Visit a trainer to increase your skill cap and train new recipes. You can also find recipes on monsters, NPC vendors and the auction house.

1-75 (you can train for an increase at skill 50)

76-150 (you can train for an increase at skill 125)

151-250 (you can train for an increase at skill 225)

251-300 (you can train for an increase at skill 275)

301-375 (you can train for an increase at skill 350)

376-450 (you can train for an increase at skill 425)

451-525 (maximum skill level 525 at level 85)
