You can't. You can play music through Pandora or other web based music sources provided you stay connected to WiFi but you have to be connected to your computer to side load music to the Nook.
You should have gotten a cord to connect it to the computer. Then you use itunes and sync songs to your Ipod.

Any music you have a license to play can be downloaded from an external drive via a USB port. Simply transfer the music directory files into the Music directory located on the hard drive of your computer. This can be a slow procedure, as music files are quite large.
Down load the music to ur computer and put it in "my music" and take the CD out. then connect ur MP3 with usb cable and open the Mp3s file. Then copy the music on "my music"and paste on the MP3s file. Hope this works.!
Down load Activesync from any windows mobile site and then hook up your computer to your phone using a USB cord.
U put the SD card in ur computer then go to some where you can download mp3 music-then download all the music u want-then take out the SD card
