the starter motor is located in the middle of the rear side of the engine above the gear box.
to remove it you will need to remove a 17mm retaining nut positioned below the starter another at the top, it's hidden under a wiring loom so have a good look round.
then remove the wires from the motor with a 13mm spanner.
although it is tight you then remove the whole thing from the underside of the engine.

Almost all starter solenoids are directly attached to the starter. It is a much smaller "bump" ont he starter with wires normally attached to it.
The starter solenoid is located on the starter. It would be more cost-effective to have the entire starter replaced with a good remanufactured unit on this application.
Unhook your battery, locate your starter........ which should be behind A/C compressor there are 4 bolts, two in the front and two behind the starter.

Not wishing to be rude, but if it is not obvious to you, perhaps you should not be tmepted to touch it. On smaller engined models it is at the rear of the engine, driven by the belt and to remove it you need to approach it from underneath and preferably having removed the starter motor.

The location of the cooling fan relay on a Vauxhall Corsa is under the dash. It is in the relay box on the driver's side.
First locate starter, once you've done that, then disconnect battery, go back to starter and lossen the 3 bolts that hold it in place, place with new starter hook up wires accordingly, then reconnect battery.
