This can be done simply by not setting a password for your account, or deleting your current one in the Control Panel. If you do have a password, simply go to the Welcome screen, click on your user name, and your desktop will open in a few seconds. If you do have a password: simply go to the Welcome screen and click on your username, enter your password, and your desktop will open up.
Note: For Changing your password on a Windows XP, simply go to Start Menu, double click on Control Panel, click on user accounts, and click on your own. A Computer Administrative can set you a password or change your password. If you ever forget your password when signing in, click on the ? for your password hint.
