It is impossible to downpatch (ie use a lesser patch number than is currently available) World of Warcraft. The client will automatically update to the latest version when you try to log into the live servers.
You go to the World of Warcraft website and in the top right corner I believe it will say Log In/ Register. And you just register. If you didn't buy the game already you can use a trial account to see if you like it!
Shouldnt have to Download, click onto the Start Menu On you Desktop, and type in search "warcraft" and everything u have about warcraft will be right there, and there you should find WarraftIII World Editor
