To train you canary, you need to try to let him/her know your not going to harm them. And if you are trying to get the to stand on your hand to nurse them, you slowly move your hand towards it and wait for about 10-15 seconds and then if he/she flies off you move your hand towards it. If your bird doesn't want to corporate try to tell it your the boss ( without hurting or frighting it too much.

Sorry if this doesn't help you. Have fun :)

the most important thing you'll need to train a budgie is trust. you'll also need patience, love, and respect. if you have a ll this for your pet budgie, it will obey you. so once you get your pet budgie, keep it in your cage for about 2 or 3 days while keeping a close eye on them and entertaining them. do not try to get them on your finger at this point. you'll only ruin you chances of it really happening. after that, try hand feeding them a millet spray. you can get millet spray from Walmart, Petsmart, or Petco, but i think Petsmart is best. slowly approach them with your hand while holding the millet spray towards it's face. don't rush or it'll go away from you. if it eats from your hand, try to hold still. if it scoots away, don't follow it. that means it's not ready. after a few days of hand feeding it, remove their food for 5 hours. after the 5 hours, put some seeds in your hand. slowly approach it and hold it in front of its stomach. if it eat from your hand, pull your hand back a little bit slowly and stop at a point where the budgie can't stretch out his neck any longer. that will cause him to hop onto your finger to eat the seeds. if he flies off, don't be disappointed. it dosen't mean hates you, it's just a little scared. but if you are kind and don't force it to do anything, i will make a bond with you and will trust you in return.

In order to train your parrot, you have to dedicate a lot of time and effort. Among the first things is show that you are a good person and make the bird have a positive association with you. To do this, you should give it treats through the bird's cage. After the bird is accustomed to you, you ought to teach it "target". This involves the bird coming to the stick and giving it a bite. This way you can have your bird come to you whenever you want. Afterwards, you can tame the bird, so it can be handled in many ways with no fear of biting. I dont know what Kind of parrot you are trying to train, but the Cockatiels are probably one of the most common pets that people will own. The certainly are one of the easiest to raise and train. But like any other pet, they require some patience. You will never be able to train your cockatiel until you have gained its trust. Once the bird is used to you and its surroundings, it will learn quickly what you are trying to teach it. This would work well and has the same effect on any parrot, but I'm just going to say Cockatiels... Okay? GET IT AS A BABY Cockatiels are most easily trained if you can get them when they are very young. That way, you will already have a good idea of their personality and attitudes. With an older bird, you will have to go a lot slower with the training. And if the bird came from a different owner, you have to wait for the bird to become adjusted to its new surroundings. If the bird was abused previously, that will make your job even harder. Also note that if the bird has any health problems, he will not be easy to train. One common problem with Cockatiels is blood feathers. These are feathers that are not fully developed, and may have become infected. They will be painful if touched, and the last think your bird wants to do is be cuddled and played with. Therefore, do a quick inspection of your bird for any problems before you begin. LET'S GET STARTED Cockatiel training is going to involve a lot of repetitive routine. Therefore, try to set a schedule for when you are going to teach your bird. You will want to work with your bird two to three times a day for 15 minutes each session. Start by getting the bird to be comfortable with your hand. It's scary to have this large hand reach into your home, grab and secure you, and drag you out of your home! Do you remember your first school days? Yeah…it's something like that. Birds don't care for it either. So begin training your cockatiel by reaching into the cage, but don't touch the bird. Offer him a treat with your hand. Do not waive your had around, but hold it steady. After a short time he will learn your hand is not a threat. Next, work on trying to get the bird out of the cage. Place your finder under the birds belly and press in, while giving the command "Step Up". If the bird nips at you, firmly say "No Bite!" or just "No!" and repeat the exercise. If the bird still refuses to step up, it may be better to remove it from the cage and try teaching in a different part of the house. Take a towel and capture the bird, wrapping the towel around it so the wings are secured. You can also use this method to secure the bird and hold it for several minutes. Gently talk to the bird while doing this to reassure him you are not a threat. Once away from the cage, continue to work with the "step up" command until he willingly stands on your finger. After several day so this, you should be able to reach in and remove the bird without any difficulty. Consistancy is very important.

Birds (particularly those in the parrot family) are very intelligent and learn quickly. The best method of training for birds (and most other animals) is called positive reinforcement, where you wait for the bird to or trick the bird into doing the desired action or behavior, then reward the behavior. You can also incorporate visual and verbal cues.

What exactly are you wanting your bird to do? If you want it to be tame, then you should offer it treats with your hand, so they will think hands are a positive thing. If they try to nip you, do not reward them. After a while, maybe a few days of doing this, try to touch them with your finger. If them don't mind, give them a treat. If they nip/bite, don't give them the treat. They will soon figure out that aggression will not get them anywhere. *If you give up they will think that the aggression is okay.*

If your bird has a screaming issue, first address the cause. Are they frightened? Are they responding to "another bird" (I put this in quotes, because it could be you whistling for example, and they THINK it's another bird)? Are they angry? If they are frightened, address what they are frightened of. To do this, you must see if there has been anything out of the ordinary placed in the room at the time your bird is screaming. For example, it is the vacuum. If this is the cause, try to cover your bird's cage when the vacuum is in the room when it is off. When you turn it on, try to move the bird to a different area, so the bird is never in the room at the same time the vacuum is.

Let me know if you have a more specific problem, and I will give you a more specific answer. (:
well, it depends on what you are training them for. they are fast learners and will easily catch on with a treat like a nutriberry. hope that helps!

Training a bird depends on the species of bird and the specific training goal you have in mind. However, in general, the following steps can help with training a bird:

  1. Build trust: Spend time with your bird and get it used to your presence. Offer it treats and speak to it softly.

  2. Identify positive reinforcements: Determine what motivates your bird, such as treats, toys or praise.

  3. Use positive reinforcement: Reward your bird with the identified positive reinforcement for exhibiting desired behaviors.

  4. Use repetition: Consistency is key. Repeat the desired behavior and reward the bird each time it responds correctly.

  5. Gradually increase difficulty: Once your bird has mastered a behavior, increase the difficulty slightly, and repeat the training process.

  6. Use patience and consistency: Training a bird takes time, patience, and consistency. Avoid punishment or negative reinforcement as it can harm the bird's trust in you.

It is essential to understand that birds are intelligent and social animals, and their training requires time, dedication, and a lot of positive reinforcement. Seeking advice from a professional bird trainer or avian veterinarian is recommended for specific training needs.

Be very nice, calm, and gentle to the parakeet. Try to be his/her friend. Don't grab him/her in your hand, put him/her on your finger. Only touch him/her very gently.
