Trade it on a Legacy. They are already lower. Outback suspension was specifically designed to have a higher ride height. If there is no commercially available suspension lowering kit specific to your Outback, I wouldn't touch it.
Although I have never considered altering the suspension, from what I have seen of the clearances in the wheel wells this would be a bad idea, especially for someone who asks the question in this forum. You need a lot of knowledge of suspension geometries and metal working.
