The exact firing for a 96 Chevy Camaro 3.8 RS is 96 hp.
Where is the evap purge control valve located on a 96 camaro
Answer with a little modification it will but no it won't bolt up to the 96 engine and besides the 96 had a stronger transmission then the 86.
yes, even though they are different styles, (early 4th gen and newer 4th gen) you can swap front clip and make your 96 look like a 99 with no probs
Yes I have one in my 96 camaro and it is awesome!
The Camaro started using the 4L60-E in 1994, so that's what your 96 Camaro should be set up for already.
the 1996 camaro engine has to be pulled from the bottom of the car.I know from experience
How can do I replace a water pump on a 96 camaro z28
Not electronic. But mechanical yes. NOTE: a 1996 camaro has the LT1. A 1998 Camaro has the LS1. A lot of things are different.
It has 2 of them.
There is not one.
no. 96 was the first for that body style.
it uses dexcool coolant
take it to a mechanic
A 3rd gen Camaro(82-92) is pretty close, also the 90-96 Nissan 300zx 2+2
It's a Camaro-specific T-5 that has a 17 degree rotation towards the driver.
GM vehicles do not use inertia switches
behind your trotle body on top of your intake
I think it has 200 hp stock
no... its a 3.8 liter V6 motor...
200 is the horsepower rating.
No, they're completely different designs
89 the best for it
if it is a five speed, you have to release the brake and only have the clutch pushed in. my camaro did this last night.
Can you make your 96 2 wheel drive gmc trannsmission work in a 1990 4 wheel drive if you use the tail shaft from the 1990 tranny?
No. For one, the transmission from the 96 will be electronically controlled, vs. the mechanically controlled transmission in the 1990.
Incorrect, the SS is an appearance package on the 96 and newer camaro z28's that includes a hood scoop that works a a ram air injection and a raised spoiler. The camaro will have an SS on the grill and if not, then it will have an engine with more horsepower and it will be all around stronger. The outside will also have more aftermarket parts, such as a spoiler etc.
You remove your Water pump after that you'll figer it out
borg warner t56
o2 sensor maybe
in the very front of the engine compartment. in front of the radiator.
take the bolt out that holds it to the engine and it will come off.
145-200 ft lbs
you do not need to remove the governor off the camaro because the 89's do not have them. they didn't start puting governors on cars until 96.
You cant bypass a fuel pump. Thats where the gas comes from smartie
starters are underneath the car where the engine and trans meet. they are on the passenger side I believe.
96 means it's OBDII, so a flashing check engine light means it is misfiring bad and it is threatening to melt the cats.
Depends on the year. The SS started in 96. 96 and 97 had an LT1 V8 with the old style block. 98 through 02 have the LS1 V8 engine. I think 2009 or 2010 is the next year of Camaro, and they all have LS style V8 engines through the present.

Just like you drive any other car.
285 hp, 325 ft lbs torque
Yes, with a small amount of bellhousing/flywheel/clutch adjustment.
The bearings on the crankshaft are worn out. A complete engine overhaul is needed.
