you add salt and pepper then slice the potato then stuff it with cheese, Then you sautay it in the oven for 10 min then take it out and butter a chunk of butter on. Then you put it back in the oven for 5 min, then once again you take it out and peel the skin of and stuff it in the middle. Then you put the potato back in the oven for 10 min then take it out and your done! Irish potateos are served!
Country potatoes are just like hash browns but they are cut not shredded. First cut the desired number of potatoes.
Coat a pan with slightly upturned edges with a little canola oil. Season the oil so the potato(es) have a flavorful oil to fry in.
Light the burner on the stove and place the pan on it. Turn the burner to high for a big pan and low for a small one.
When the oil is hot enough (test it by putting a small piece of potato in the oil. If small bubbles appear around it the oil is ready to fry), coat the pan evenly with potatoes. Season them and when they turn golden brown, flip them until the other side turns brown.
It is ok if not all the potatoes are golden brown. Sample the potatoes with a fork. If you like the results serve and enjoy your homemade country potatoes!
